Late 19th-century German porcelain deep plate, a ceremonial piece of Central European tradition. The specimen features refined hand-painted polychrome decoration, with a central motif of roses and wildflowers, surrounded by a border of oak leaves and acorns in gold leaf.

Object History: This piece belongs to the tradition of 'Pathengeschenke' (christening gifts), commemorative objects given by godparents to their godchildren in German-speaking regions. The golden Gothic calligraphy inscription reinforces its historical and social character within the family customs of the time, likely originating from Thuringian or Saxonian workshops.
