Vintage Tiles

Antique and vintage tiles: Valencia, Portugal, England and France

Here you will find single tiles, sets and framed panels from different traditions: polychrome tiles from Valencia, hand-painted Portuguese pieces, Victorian English tiles in the style of Minton or by makers such as Maw & Co, French Longwy tiles and mid-century Spanish series such as zodiac tiles or the 1954 Salvador Dalí tiles by Cerámicas El Siglo. Alcora and Valencia are historic ceramic centres in eastern Spain, which is why Valencian tiles appear often. The stock is small and each piece is described individually.

What to check before choosing a tile

• Size: many tiles are 20 × 20 cm, but trivets, framed pieces and sets differ. The measurements are in the listing.
• Glaze: fine crazing is common on old tiles. Chips on the corners and edges are mentioned and photographed.
• Back: marks, mortar traces or a mounting frame help with dating and are shown when visible.
• Sets: the listing says how many tiles are included and whether they were made as a series.

Shipping from Spain

Ceramic is heavy and fragile, so it is shipped by tracked courier after 1–3 business days of preparation. The cost is calculated at checkout from weight and destination. Read the delivery and risk transfer policy before ordering.
