Religious antiques and devotional objects

This section includes nativity sets, crucifixes in polychrome plaster, prayer books and missals with celluloid or mother-of-pearl bindings, scapulars, rosaries, a holy family under a glass dome and sculptures from other traditions. They are sold as historical and collectible objects, independent of the buyer's faith, and are described with respect and detail.

• Materials: wood, plaster, porcelain and celluloid age differently.
• Origin: Olot, in Catalonia, was a centre of devotional imagery, and the listing mentions it when relevant.
