Handcrafted reproduction of a Greek Orthodox icon of the Virgin Mary Panagia Psychosostria (The Soul Saver). This piece was made in Greece by the specialized workshop Souvenir S.A., strictly following the techniques of the Byzantine tradition.
History: The iconography of Psychosostria is one of the most revered depictions of the Theotokos. The historical original, dating from the 14th century, is linked to the spiritual centers of Ohrid and Thessaloniki. This specimen was produced using relief engraving on noble metal sheet, a characteristic technique for high-quality reproductions destined for sacred art collecting.
