Figurine

Vintage and antique figurines: porcelain, ceramic, resin and wood

Figurines from porcelain, ceramic, resin and wood: Lladró and Daisa porcelain, Capodimonte-style cats, Spanish bullfighter figures, polychrome busts from Alcoy, English animal figurines, pre-Columbian style ceramic replicas and carved wooden pieces. They differ greatly in period and value, so each listing states the material, the maker when known and the height.

What to examine in a figurine

• Fine parts: fingers, ears, wings, flowers and handles are the usual places for chips or repairs, and photographs show them.
• Marks: the underside may carry a stamp, signature or number. We photograph it whenever it exists.
• Original or replica: titles say "replica" or "style" when a piece reproduces an older tradition rather than being an antique itself.
• Height and weight: given for display planning and for shipping.

Frequently asked questions

Are the pre-Columbian pieces authentic?

No. Those offered here are decorative replicas or pieces in the style of pre-Columbian art, and the title says so. They are not archaeological objects.

How should I clean a porcelain figurine?

Dust it with a soft brush. For washing use lukewarm water and a mild soap, and never soak pieces with repairs or applied parts.
