Vintage collectibles

Vintage collectibles: curiosities, stationery, toys and everyday objects

Everything that does not fit another category lives here: antique stationery sets, 1960s metal movie posters, cube puzzles, celluloid pencil cases, shaving scuttles, cigarette boxes, powder compacts, beaded purses, old magazines, pharmacy packs and metal lunchboxes. They come from different countries and decades, and each piece is described by material, period and condition.

What makes a collectible worth choosing

• Completeness: original boxes, lids, keys and contents are mentioned when included.
• Printing and lettering: wear on lithographed tin, paper and cardboard is common and is shown in photographs.
• Materials: celluloid and old rubber can be fragile or discoloured.
• Maker and date: when a mark, brand or date is visible the listing records it.

Frequently asked questions

Do you appraise or certify items?

No. We describe what is visible and what we know about the piece, but we do not issue certificates or valuations.

Are old toys safe for children?

Antique and vintage objects are sold as collectibles. Paint, small parts and materials may not meet modern safety standards, so they should not be given to young children.
