History of the item: The San Damiano Cross is one of the most important symbols of the Franciscan tradition. It was before this crucifix, originally located in the church of San Damiano, that Francis of Assisi received the divine call. This vintage replica from the 1970s was crafted as an object of devotion and souvenir, using image transfer techniques on an enameled ceramic support.
