Extraordinary antique soup or deep plate from the historic manufacturer Société Céramique of Maastricht, Holland. This collector's piece, dating to the first half of the 20th century, features the scene "3. Napoléon en Égypte" (Napoleon in Egypt) from a famous series on the life of Napoleon. The illustration, rendered in classic blue and white transferware, depicts Napoleon with his troops in an exotic landscape.

The rim of the plate is richly decorated with floral motifs and Napoleonic symbols, including the crowned 'N' and the imperial eagle, which adds great historical and decorative value.
