History of the object: Jean Gerbino developed and patented in 1930 a unique method inspired by the Nerikomi technique. His process consisted of preparing thousands of clay cylinders of different colors, meticulously assembled to create geometric and floral patterns that run through the entire body of the piece. This work comes from Vallauris, the historical center of French ceramics that attracted figures like Picasso.
