We present a pair of Chinese guardian lions, known as Foo Dogs, crafted in porcelain with a vibrant turquoise glaze.

These figures are traditional representations from Buddhist mythology, historically used as symbolic protectors of temples and homes. The male holds a sphere under his paw, symbolizing dominion over the world, while the female protects a cub. This specific pair corresponds to mid-20th-century export production, reviving the chromatic aesthetics of the Qing Dynasty.
