Object History:
This style of cabinet pieces was extremely popular in the first half of the 20th century. The combination of yellow gradient backgrounds, violet floral motifs, and the use of liquid gold on the rim and handle reliefs is characteristic of fine porcelain and ceramic workshops from the interwar and immediate postwar period.
