Large circular serving platter from the French manufactory Sarreguemines, part of the famous Obernai series. This model is one of the most iconic designs in European ceramics, characterized by its detailed illustrations of rural life in Alsace.

History of the object:
The Obernai series was originally illustrated by the Alsatian artist Henri Loux (1873-1907). His drawings capture the essence of half-timbered architecture and regional costumes from the late 19th century. Although the design dates from the turn of the century, this specimen features the mid-century backstamp ensuring its durability for modern use.
