A set of two decorative figures with an oriental aesthetic, made of polymer resin with a finish that emulates carved ivory. The pieces represent female figures in traditional dress with floral motifs.

History of the object: These pieces come from the J. Marcos business, located in Elda (Alicante, Spain), active during the mid-20th century. They are representative of the orientalist decorative trend that predominated in European homes during the 1960s. The use of synthetic resins allowed the complexity of Asian ivory carvings to be replicated in an accessible way for the export market.

Features and details:
- Period: 1960s
- Technique / Style: Molded and inked resin with an antique patina effect
- Dimensions: Approximate height of 30 cm (11.8 inches)
- Material: Synthetic resin, turned wood (base)
- Condition: Good general condition. One of the figures has a minor fracture on one of the fingers, documented in the photographs. They retain the original vintage labels.

This set holds significant value for collectors of mid-century decorative objects and those interested in the history of the import trade in 1960s Spain.
