Pair of decorative curtain tiebacks (embrasses) made of cast brass with ornamental acanthus leaf motifs.

Object History: These supports date back to the late Belle Époque, designed under the influence of the Louis XV (Rococo) style. This type of hardware was essential in early 20th-century European bourgeois interiors to hold heavy velvet or silk draperies, elegantly allowing natural light to enter.
