Large lithographed tin box produced by the Belgian manufacturer Eperons d'Or to commemorate the wedding of Prince Albert of Belgium and Paola Ruffo di Calabria in 1959. The design features detailed romantic illustrations, official portraits of the couple, and scenes from the celebration on a red background decorated with gold Belgian lions.
History: The Eperons d'Or biscuit company released this special edition as a tribute to the Belgian monarchy. The inside of the lid retains the original French text certifying the piece as a commemorative gift from the brand to its customers on the occasion of the royal wedding.
