Three-compartment shell-shaped centerpiece in neo-baroque style with nautical theme. This service piece, dating from the 1930s, features an ornamental central axis with a double intertwined dolphin figure that serves as a functional handle.

History of the object: The design is inspired by the European neo-baroque style of the interwar period, which revived classic marine decorative elements from the 18th century. Dolphins and shells were recurring motifs in the silversmithing intended for refined table service of the time.
