This large wall crucifix is a piece of European sacred art manufactured in the 1940s. It stands out for its detailed cruciform structure with a gold-tone finish and the superimposed figure of Christ in silver-tone metal with polychrome details.

Object History: The piece belongs to the tradition of mid-20th century European liturgical imagery. The sunburst halo behind the head of Jesus, crowned with a central red faceted glass inlay, represents a traditional iconographic motif symbolizing divinity.
