Object History: Guy Laroche, a central figure in Parisian fashion, translated his minimalist elegance into perfumery. Fidji, launched in 1966, was the firm's first major success, evoking an exotic paradise. Clandestine, introduced in 1986, captured the floral and opulent sophistication characteristic of the late 20th century.
