Polychrome glazed ceramic jewelry box manufactured by Hubert Bequet in Quaregnon, Belgium. This piece is a representative example of mid-20th century Belgian ceramic production.

Object History: Hubert Bequet founded his own workshop in 1934 after working at the famous Auguste Mouzin et Cie (AMC) manufacture. His factory in Quaregnon distinguished itself through the use of vibrant colors and hand-applied gold finishes, becoming a benchmark for European decorative ceramics until its closure in the 1980s.
