History: During the 19th century in Spain, personalized linens of this caliber were meticulously crafted or commissioned for high-society trousseaus (ajuar) and bridal dowries. Young women from wealthy families or skilled nuns in local convents spent years preparing these heirloom textiles. The intricate composition is a refined example of European Whitework (bordado en blanco), highly esteemed during the Romantic era.
