Antique handmade needle lace border crafted from fine natural linen threads, dating to the early 20th century. This specimen exemplifies the elegant, flowing organic lines characteristic of the Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) period.

Developed during the turn of the century, needle lace of this caliber required meticulous handwork, utilizing a single needle and thread to build up complex floral motifs, mesh grounds, and raised buttonhole stitch details. The organic patterns mirror the dominant architectural and decorative trends of the Belle Époque.
