Object History: The "Jack-in-the-Pulpit" form is inspired by the anatomy of the Arisaema triphyllum plant. This design was extremely popular in Murano glass art (Italy) during the 1950s and 1960s, where master glassmakers experimented with color contrast and the cased glass technique.
