Tabletop music box and jewelry case produced in Switzerland by the prestigious firm Jobin of Brienz, equipped with a mechanical musical movement Romance by the famous manufacturer Reuge. The device plays fluidly and accurately the famous classical composition 'Canon in D' by Johann Pachelbel.
The Jobin firm, founded in Brienz in the 19th century, is globally recognized for its excellence in wood carving and the creation of high-quality musical automatons. This specimen stands out for its exterior finish in complex grain briarwood and its delicate marquetry decoration on the lid, depicting a violin, sheet music, and floral elements. The interior is lined with deep red velvet and features a glass viewing window that allows observation of the intricate Swiss precision metallic movement in operation.
