This continuous strip of lace features a highly detailed pattern of stylized floral or star motifs interspersed with delicate openwork mesh, finished with a deeply scalloped decorative edge on one side and a straight structural border on the other.
Historically, the art of bobbin lace (encaje de bolillos) in Spain reached extraordinary levels of refinement, with the coastal region of Galicia becoming world-renowned for its distinctively robust yet delicate lace designs.
