Item History: Manises is the most important ceramic center in the Valencian Community, with a tradition dating back to the Middle Ages. The Botet house, led by Francisco Botet, was one of the most recognized in the mid-20th century for its ornamental pieces that combined pictorial academicism with luxurious gold finishes, primarily intended for the giftware and high decoration market.
