Pair of Champagne Flutes V Sampedro, Cut Crystal and Alpacca Goblets, Set of 2 Bacchic Mythological Wine Glasses, 23 cm

A pair of vintage champagne flutes featuring elaborate nickel silver (Alpacca) stems and bases with bacchic sculptural relief, complete with hand-cut crystal glass inserts. Produced by the Spanish workshop V. Sampedro, this set exemplifies high-quality mid-century European decorative tableware craftsmanship.

The metal bases are cast with high-relief mythological scenes depicting satyrs and bacchants celebrating amidst grapevines and grape clusters, a traditional motif associated with Bacchus, the Roman god of wine. The Spanish manufacturer V. Sampedro is well-documented for producing specialized decorative metalware in alpacca, combining metalwork with fine crystal glass.
