The Calasanz atelier, historically situated at Rambla de Cataluña 121 in Barcelona, Spain, was highly regarded for producing custom-made hand-embroidered trousseau linens ("ajuar") of exceptional quality. This piece represents the finest tradition of Catalan textile craftsmanship, integrating delicate hand embroidery ("bordado a mano") with imported Belgian handmade lace.
