An antique 22-piece porcelain tea and dessert service manufactured by Royal Stafford (Thomas Poole) in Longton, Staffordshire, England. This comprehensive set features the scarce "Pattern 1616", adorned with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays of pink roses and foliage, intertwined with a delicate yellow trellis garland, and finished with elegant hand-gilded scalloped rims. The backstamp printed in brown, containing the crown mark and the text "Royal Stafford China England", dates this production precisely to the 1930s to early 1940s.

This service is attributed to the traditional Staffordshire school of fine bone china. During this interwar period, Thomas Poole operated from the Cobden Works, creating exceptional tablewares noted for their delicate translucency and vibrant hand-enameled details overlaying transfer outlines.
