Pontesa, based in Pontevedra, was one of the most relevant ceramic factories in the second half of the 20th century in Spain. It specialized in the use of 'Ironstone', a type of fine earthenware known for its hardness and durability, applying geometric designs that followed European trends of mid-century modern and decorative brutalism.
