Fine porcelain decorative plate manufactured by Cauldon Place Works in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent, England. This piece represents the excellence of late Victorian British production, characterized by its complex decoration and quality materials.

Object History: The Cauldon manufactory (operated by Brown-Westhead, Moore & Co. during this period) was an official supplier of porcelain to the British royalty. The Imari-style design, inspired by Japanese Arita ceramics, became a luxury standard in England, using a color palette of underglaze cobalt blue, overglaze iron red, and pink and gold details.
