Vintage 't Delffsche Huys Delft Blue Plate, B.V. Handelsvereeniging Commemorative, Dutch Earthenware, 28cm

A unique vintage commemorative plate, created by the Dutch manufacturer 't Delffsche Huys in the iconic Delfts Blauw (Delft Blue) style. This piece was specially commissioned for the company "B.V. Handelsvereeniging," formerly known as "v/h W. Beijer," as indicated in the decorative banners. The central scene features an allegorical, Bacchus-like figure on a barrel during a festive celebration.

Crafted as "Handwork" in Holland, this large plate is a fascinating example of corporate earthenware and a collectible item. The rim is richly decorated with traditional Delft floral motifs and ornaments.
