Decorative porcelain plate from the renowned decoration house Josef Kuba Werkstätte (JKW), Carlsbad. This piece stands out for its polychromy and the use of traditional techniques from the Bohemian school.

Object History: Josef Kuba founded his decoration workshop in 1930 in Carlsbad. After World War II, production continued maintaining classical European aesthetics. The central scene, inspired by the works of French painter Horace Vernet (1789-1863), represents a Napoleonic military parade, a recurring theme in the Alt-Wien (Old Vienna) style that Kuba helped preserve.
