Large-scale decorative curtain executed in the hand-darned mesh technique (filet brodé) from the early 20th century. The design features a complex scenic composition merging Art Nouveau naturalism with the emerging Art Deco style.

Object History: This piece dates from the 1910-1920 transition, representing the refinement of European textile production. The central motif features a peacock on a garden balustrade, flanked by a floral urn and a pedestal with a putto relief, framed by an ornamental peacock feather border.
