This set represents a refined German interpretation of the French Sèvres style, utilizing the iconic 'Bleu Céleste' (heavenly blue) background originally developed in the 18th century. The piece features white reserves housing polychrome floral bouquets meticulously painted by hand, framed by rich burnished gold borders.

Object History: Founded in 1762, Volkstedt is the oldest porcelain manufactory in Thuringia.
