Object History: Helena Wolfsohn was one of the most prominent decorators in Dresden during the 19th century. The 'AR' (Augustus Rex) mark visible on the base was used by Wolfsohn until legal disputes with the Royal Meissen Manufactory forced her to cease its use in the early 1880s.
