Object History: The Tirol series is one of SMF's most emblematic decorative lines, inspired by the folkloric aesthetics of the Alpine region. The factory, founded in 1820 in the Black Forest, achieved great prestige during the mid-20th century for the quality of its hand-painted majolica and technical durability.
