Antique French hard-paste porcelain bowl from the late 19th century. This piece features polychrome decoration entirely painted by hand, representative of French regional manufactures during the Napoleon III period.

History: During the second half of the 19th century, porcelain production in France flourished in independent workshops that decorated high-quality pieces. This example follows the aesthetics of late Romanticism, using rose and garland motifs common in the table service of the French bourgeoisie of the time.
