Exceptional piece of mid-20th-century cotton damask fabric, preserved in original unused condition (deadstock). Produced in Spain around 1950, this fabric represents the technical excellence of the European textile industry of that era.

History of the object: Originally conceived for the manufacture of high-end mattress covers, this type of fabric, technically known as "cutí," is distinguished by its high-density jacquard weave. Its durability and mechanical resistance eventually made it a favorite material for furniture restoration and upholstery projects requiring heavy use.
