Extremely rare musical doll by the Spanish manufacturer Florido, dating from the 1940s. This piece represents a clown with an expressive physiognomy, characteristic of the Madrid firm's high-end production during the post-war period.

History of the object: Florido was one of the most prestigious doll houses in Spain, noted for innovation in materials and the incorporation of sound mechanisms. This model combines the use of celluloid for the rigid parts with a body entirely covered in mohair, a high-quality natural fiber.

Technical details:

- Technique: Molded and hand-painted celluloid; internal wind-up musical mechanism
- Dimensions: Height 36 cm (14.2 inches), Width 12 cm (4.7 inches)
