Original Manila shawl from the Isabelline era (mid-19th century), crafted from high-quality natural silk. An item of great historical and textile value, notable for its lightness and technical mastery.
History: Isabelline shawls represent the peak of textile trade between the Philippines and Spain via the Manila Galleon route. They are distinguished from later versions by the extreme fineness of the silk (silk crepe) and a significantly lower weight, allowing for the fluid drape characteristic of mid-19th century aristocratic attire.
