Vintage Manila Shawl (Mantón de Manila) crafted in Spain in the mid-20th century. This piece represents the excellence of Iberian textile craftsmanship, merging the tradition of Eastern trade routes with classical Spanish attire.

History of the object: The Manila shawl, although originating from China, became a pillar of Spanish fashion and flamenco art. During the 1950s, these accessories maintained their status as luxury items for formal events, galas, and traditional celebrations, standing out for the precision of hand embroidery and the quality of natural silk.

- Technique: Hand-embroidered with silk thread on natural silk taffeta. Hand-knotted fringe latticework (enrejado).
