The "Hen on Nest" motif is a traditional tableware pattern dating back to the 19th century, highly favored in European and American folk art. This specific piece exhibits the characteristics of artisan, small-batch manual casting, recognizable by its textured, unpolished base, natural thickness variations, and organic surface details.
