Antique educational picture block puzzle set consisting of 28 lithographed cubes, published in Barcelona by the renowned firm Litografía Hijos de Paluzie. The set showcases highly detailed military illustrations depicting key historical battles and scenes from the Spanish War of Independence (Peninsular War, 1808-1814) against Napoleonic forces.

These illustrations were created by the celebrated Spanish historicist and modernist artist Francesc (Fernando) Xumetra i Ragull (1865-1920), whose signature "F. Xumetra" is visible on the sheets. Each cube features six faces, allowing the assembly of six different historical compositions: "Sitio de Zaragoza" (featuring Agustina de Aragón), "Sitio de Gerona", "Ataque a la bayoneta", "Carga de caballería", "Fuego de guerrillas", and "Cuadro de infantería". The publisher operated under the name "Litografía de Hijos de Paluzie" between 1901 and 1922, establishing a precise dating for this collectible piece of Spanish toy history.
