An antique Empire style porcelain cup (or small campana-shaped urn) dating to the early 19th century, likely of French origin (Vieux Paris) or a contemporary European manufactory. The exterior features two exquisitely hand-painted medallions depicting detailed pastoral garden scenes: one showcasing two water birds by a sunflower bush near a stone wall, and the other depicting traditional gardening tools (a spade and rake) set against a manicured park landscape. The interior is fully gilded, a characteristic feature of high-quality early 19th-century porcelain.

During the Empire period (circa 1804–1815) and the subsequent Restoration era, porcelain manufacturers in Paris and across Europe produced luxurious table and cabinet wares decorated with rich gilding and neoclassical motifs. The delicate depiction of gardening tools and domestic birds reflects the romanticized interest in botany and country life popular among the aristocracy and wealthy bourgeoisie of the era.

* Period: Early 19th century (circa 1810-1820)
