This decorative ceramic plate is a specimen of mid-to-late 20th-century Spanish art pottery, crafted by the workshop Cerámicas Sevilla. The front features a highly detailed composition of birds and rich flora, executed in vibrant mineral glazes and embellished with 24K gold accents along the rim and inner patterns.
The piece originates from the historical workshop located at Calle Pimienta 11 in Seville, Spain. This regionalist ceramic center specialized in reviving classic Mudejar-Andalusian designs through traditional techniques, most notably the 'Cuerda Seca' (dry cord) method, which prevents different colored glazes from running together during firing. Each piece from this specific series was individually hand-glazed, patented, and numbered, representing the rich heritage of Andalusian pottery.
