Antique earthenware plate produced by the renowned Pickman y Cía manufactory at the La Cartuja facilities in Seville, Spain. This piece represents the tradition of fine Spanish pottery from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

History: The La Cartuja factory, founded in 1841 by William Pickman, was distinguished by adapting English transferware techniques to classical and romantic iconography. The stamp visible on the reverse corresponds to the late 19th-century production period, confirming its value for the study of Sevillian industrial ceramics.

Technical Details:
- Period: ca. 1890-1910.
- Technique: Transferware in dark cobalt blue on a cream background.
- Decoration: Central classical architectural scene with figures, framed by a border of floral motifs and scrollwork.
- Dimensions: 19 cm (7.48 inches) in diameter.
- Weight: 185 g (0.41 lb).
- Material: Fine earthenware.

Condition: The item shows clear signs of age, including a network of hairline cracks (crazing) and visible fissures across the surface. Natural patina and small enamel irregularities typical of the firing process of that era are present.

Use and Value: This object is intended exclusively for decorative display or specialized collecting. Due to the cracks in the glaze and its antique composition, it is not recommended for food service.
