Decorative wall plate from the "Four Seasons" series by the German manufacturer Seltmann Weiden, Bavaria. This piece represents spring (Frühling) through a central polychrome porcelain composition framed by a cast metal border.

Object History: Christian Seltmann founded the porcelain factory in Weiden in 1910, establishing it as one of the most significant ceramic production centers in West Germany. During the 1970s, the firm collaborated with master metalworkers to create this hybrid series, integrating the delicacy of Bavarian porcelain with the robustness of ornamental pewter, reflecting the traditional rustic style of the region.
