A polychrome porcelain figurine from the German manufacturer Goebel, part of the celebrated Hummel series. The piece, titled "Wayside Harmony" and catalogued as number 111/3/0, depicts a boy in traditional Bavarian attire sitting on a wooden fence next to a bird.


The Hummel figurines are based on the drawings of the Franciscan Sister Maria Innocentia Hummel. This specific model was designed by sculptor Reinhold Unger in 1938. The mark on the base, known as TMK-6 "The Goebel Bee," along with the inscription "W. Germany," allows for the precise dating of this piece to the period from 1979 to 1991, before German reunification.
